Premieres

On October 12th in Tokyo there was the the very first concert, where only my pieces were played. In the Ohmi-Gakudo-Saal of the Tokyo Opera City in Shinjuku, performed by the Consort Company lead by Takashi Yasui. And they performed it so brilliant, I was happy as a man can be. I also received a very warm welcome by the Musashino and the Placebo Ensemble, who will publish my works in Japan. I was so impressed by Japan, I definitely will be back! Now I look forward to the 5th of November, where the Recorder Orchestra Berlin, conducted by Sylvia Rosien, will do the Premiere of SIKU NJEMA, a concert piece for solo recorder and recorder orchestra. I also wish to thank the participants of my very first Whole-Weekend-Workshop about my African Recorder Music in Fulda. It was great! There will be more workshops in England, Paris and Taiwan next year. And of course in Germany. More news coming soon!

Leben in der Deutschen Bahn

On Saturday the Hamburger Abendblatt published my big report: Living in the Germany Railway. An Experiment with myself. Three days and nights I travelled through germany by train. 74 hours, 5266 kilometres, 20 trains, a bavarian choir, two smashed Wagons, a police operation, a tired Wolfgang Kubicki, a forgotten suitcase, a crying girl, a damaged smartphone, a patchwork mother from the ministry of family, and only one single train running late - all that and much more you can read here: http://www.abendblatt.de/vermischtes/article206840799/Der-ganz-normale-B...

New Pieces

In time for Christmas two new pieces of mine arrived from the Printing Company: Canarie, 12 Variations on an Old Dutch Dance Tune, for Recorder Trio, a real concert piece, and the long planned Sextet Version of Celebration! Just have a look at it and listen. From Canarie there already exists a Live Recording!
By the way: One year ahead, on the 22th and 23th of October 2016 I will give my first african Recorder Workshop. And hope to get to know you all personally there!
